I am working on rebuilding our forums, this means I don't want to spend loads of money if they will not be used for a couple of months or more.

I plan to rebuild our forums after a storm, this will mean our loyal users would may need to keep an eye on runehints and keep our new users happy.

I have a demo for Dreamweaver and I will try and get our template's ready by the time the demo has expired.

This should get some users back, as our forums will be our main focus again, just like before.

We are proud to say we have a fully working forum again. Yes this is phpbb.

What our plans are, for you to come back to us and post, so we can get new users, even if you don't really play RuneScape anymore we would like to see how you have been.

We are switching over to the very popular forum software Vbulletin soon, we are just working on our news, recent post, forum stats and admin control area, then we will switch over to vbulletin.

On the front end, nothing is happening with RuneHints.

On the backend, we are working flat out to get our forums fixed. Whats broken?

We lost 10,000's of posts, which we are working hard to restore, this was not due to any hacks, just a human error.
How we are fixing, we are merging our new posts (from this forum) to another which has our old backup, unfortunately there are 2-3,000 posts needing to be copied over 1 at a time, this means it is a long slow progress, but when its done, we will have a fully working forum which we will Mass Email our members we are back.

We hope this will kickstart RuneHints.

Kuradal's Dungeon Improvements

After some of your feedback about last week’s Slayer dungeon update:

* Kuradal can now assign dagannoths.
* Murky Matt can now combine ferocious ring charges.
* Hellhounds should now respawn at their normal rate.
* We've squeezed in a couple of extra creatures.
* You won't get any Random Events while in Kuradal’s Dungeon.

Since we launched the Jagex Store last summer, we’ve received a lot of feedback and suggestions for improvements that could be made and items that could be added. Seeing how much feedback we received, we decided to go all out and completely rebuild the store from the ground up.

As part of this, we’ve teamed up with a company called Sunrise Identity, and their partner company BTC Group, who have worked on products for some of the biggest games on both PC and consoles. We wanted to work with a company that could not only address the old store’s issues (such as high shipping costs), but also who were the best, and not just at making cool items, but cool items specifically for games.

About the new store

The new store has lots of new items that should have a broader appeal to all players. The best way to see just how the store has changed is to simply go there and check it out for yourself. This re-launch has involved a lot of work and planning, but is just the beginning, so you can look forward to further website upgrades, features, new items and more.

Cheaper shipping

One particular area that we worked hard to focus on was shipping. In the past, players complained of high shipping costs, especially to the US. We took these complaints very seriously, so we have worked with Sunrise to ensure that we are able to ship from more than one global location to reduce the costs of shipping.

Gift and prize draw

To mark the occasion, and to match our festive mood, all orders placed this month will also receive a free gift. If you buy something from the store, you will see a ‘Gift from Jagex’ in your shopping basket. It might say $1 or £1 next to it, but don’t worry, it’s free!

In addition, we will soon be launching a prize draw on the Jagex Store. Prizes will include packs of items from the store and 12-month RuneScape memberships. More details to follow when we launch it.

At Jagex Games Studio, we pride ourselves on supporting our teams to come up with new ideas which they think our community will enjoy. Many of you will have enjoyed the Jagex game BounceDown - I certainly have - so when Mod Scottles asked me if he could redevelop the Jagex game BounceDown for the iPhone as an experimental project, I naturally agreed. We gave Mod Scottles a few extra days between projects to work on the game and I’m happy to say the game is now finished and available free to everyone.

We believe that we have the best gaming community in the world and love nothing more than for everyone to have fun, therefore, we thought it was only appropriate to make the game freely available to say thank you to the fantastic Jagex community.
